Israeli political discourse is currently focused on the government's preparation for potential international sanctions. On Saturday, Gadi Eisenkot, the chairman of the Yashar party, released a campaign video on X/Twitter to critique Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent financial proposals.

Eisenkot, a former chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, characterized the new measures as an admission that the prime minister has economically destroyed the country. The video began with the warning that all of Israel's money is at risk. It then featured clips from a previous interview with Channel 10, in which Netanyahu stated that Israel must prepare for an alternative economy due to the volume of sanctions facing the state.

A central point of contention in the advertisement is the role of blockchain technology. Netanyahu acknowledged in the interview that digital finance would certainly be part of the strategy, noting that he had already requested a plan for its implementation. Eisenkot's team mocked this aspect by coining the term Bibicoin. The video argued that such a financial mechanism would ultimately destroy the country.

The advertisement further claimed that an alternative system would create an economy similar to those of North Korea and Iran. It listed the end of high-tech, healthcare, and security as the likely results. The video also questioned how the global high-tech industry would invest in Israeli companies if digital currency were the only available method for transactions. It urged citizens to prevent the prime minister from burning through national savings.

In a separate post on X, Eisenkot adopted a more direct tone regarding the implications of the plan. He wrote that Netanyahu admits his policy will lead to international isolation and sanctions that will shake the economy and the market. Eisenkot described this outcome as the collapse of national security.

This exchange places the prime minister's contingency planning at the center of the current political debate. Eisenkot's campaign is using Netanyahu's own words from the Channel 10 interview as the primary evidence for its criticism of the alternative financing strategy.
