Front Street in Lahaina will host a full day of Halloween activities this Saturday, marking the return of a local tradition three years after the Maui wildfires displaced much of the population. The events are scheduled to run from early evening until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Before the fires, thousands of residents and visitors gathered along this commercial corridor for the annual Keiki Parade. This year, local operators are organizing separate but linked gatherings to reestablish that community routine. Caleb Hopkins, co-owner of Hana Hou Hospitality, noted that the physical environment has changed since the disaster. “Front Street is completely open. There’s a ton of houses that have been rebuilt. There’s a lot of people back on the west side,” Hopkins said. He described the current atmosphere as a “whole new energy that’s come down.”

The day begins at the Coco Deck Lahaina, which is hosting its third annual Keiki Costume Bash. This event includes a football match, various games, food specials, and a costume contest. The party runs until 9 p.m., with the specific children's costume competition scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Following the daytime festivities, celebrations move to the nearby Mala Ocean Tavern. This venue is hosting a Día de los Muertos-inspired event from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The program features music by DJ Skinnie, also known as DJ Flaco. Food service at this venue will conclude at midnight.

Admission for the late-night event is priced at $18 for advance tickets and $25 for those purchasing at the door. Organizers stated these gatherings aim to restore the family memories associated with the street's previous Halloween crowds.
